Henry Wagner 1923 - 2020 Henry was our last surviving World War II veteran. Henry was a POW and the only survivor when his aircraft was shot down. He was most happy recounting his story, especially to interested youngsters. After the war he was a school teacher here in Wisbech and is still fondly remembered by many of his ex pupils. Henry was a lovely man, the bar is named after him and he enjoyed his two free pints on a Friday night. Henry will be greatly missed by us all.
